Space Savers! Top Tie Racks for Closets

Looking for a great tie rack for your closet or small home? Then look no further. I've compiled a simple and effective list that should help you find what you looking for.

Whether you want to conceal it behind cabinetry, hang it on a closet rod, mount it on the wall, slide it in and out or have it revolve, the choices below will get you where you need to go.

1. Carousel Tie Racks - These tie racks may also be known as revolving tie racks. This is the best space saving option for your money. They hold an large portion of ties, yet are compact since they are round and you can access the tie of your choice by simply spinning the carousel around to get to it.

Keep in mind that I recommend manual carousel tie racks over the battery operated (motorized) versions. Consumer satisfaction tends to drop when electricity enters into the picture and there's really no need for a motorized version when a manual one will do the job just as well, if not better, without chewing up battery juice in the process.

Two carousel tie racks you'll want to go for are Woodform's "Carousel Tie Rack" which mounts to a wall or "Twirl a Tie" which hangs on a closet rod. Both can be found at Amazon.com.

2. Closet Rod Tie Racks - These are your basic tie racks. Most of the time, but not always, they resemble basic hangers, except for the fact that they organize your ties. They are the option you would choose if you're adamant about having it hang on closet rod.

3. Wall Mounted Tie Racks - These are very useful if you want to organize your ties and conceal them. They're also great because they don't just mount on a wall (in your closet, etc.) but they can also be mounted just about anywhere if you have the space for them. Consider mounting them underneath a shelf, inside a cabinet, on a door--the sky's the limit. Just be sure to use logic so you don't make any unnecessary mistakes by hanging them in a place that doesn't look right or fit.

4. Extendable Tie Racks - These are great for closet systems or, like wall mounted tie racks, they're also great for hanging them inside of cabinets, on walls, behind doors because in truth, they are actually wall mounted tie racks. They're just wall tie racks with an additional function--which is that they extend. They slide in and out for your convenience.
